After the 10am Mass
The parish will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and paper goods. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We will have some tables and chairs, but you may want to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

First Thursday Devotion
Beginning in September, we will be offering extended First Thursday Adoration. We are asking for volunteers to commit to spending one hour in Adoration monthly on First Thursday between 12:45-8pm. If you are willing to spend this time with our Lord, please sign up in the gathering space or contact Cheri.
Widow/Widower Group
We meet the second Saturday of the month in Room 3 at 9:30am.
We are here:
- To provide emotional, spiritual and practical support to the men and women who have lost a spouse or significant other.
- To directly offer education and other services to the widowed and their families during the grieving period following this catastrophic loss.
- To connect survivors to essential resources conducive to positive growth.

St. Joseph Jr. High School and Trinity High School are hosting our annual Open Houses for incoming students and transfers. St. Joe's will host its open house on Tuesday, October 21st at 6:30pm, while Trinity will host its open house on Thursday, October 23rd at 6:30pm. We are two Catholic Schools sharing one renovated campus. While some of our buildings are new, our belief in the education of the minds, bodies, and souls of our students is not. At both the junior high school and high school level, students are encouraged to use their God-given talents to achieve greatness through our 7-12th grade Student Success Model. You can protect mothers and children by joining this worldwide mobilization to pray and fast for an end to abortion. Through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils and community outreach, 40 Days for Life has inspired more than 1 million volunteers.

Prayer in the Home
with Author Leila Lawler
On Saturday, September 20, the Cathedral Gift Shop will host author Leila Lawler as part of their Catholic Speaker Series program.
Leila Marie Lawler is a wife, mother and grandmother. Leila encountered Christianity as a high school student and entered the Catholic Church in 1979. Leila is a Fellow of the Center for the Restoration of Christian Culture, a project of Thomas More college of the Liberal Arts in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Her book, co-authored with David Clayton, The Little Oratory: A Beginner’s Guide to Praying in the Home, is published by Sophia Institute Press. This talk will cover some thoughts on prayer taken from Church Fathers and classical spiritual masters and how to make a traditional prayer or icon corner or altar in the home. The focus will be on beauty and its power to transform our inner life and our world.
The talk will begin at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Cathedral Gift Shop, 145 Lowell St. Manchester. There is no cost to attend but an RSVP is requested as seating is limited.

Greater Nashua Crop Hunger Walk:
This is our 41st year! The walk will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, beginning and ending at Temple Beth Abraham, 4 Raymond Street in Nashua. Registration is from 12 to 1pm with opening ceremonies at 1pm and stepping out at 1:30pm. Those who raise all their monies on line don’t need to register and can grab lunch before coming at 12:45. Registration and celebration are in the parking lot, weather permitted.

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT WEEKEND
Sept. 26-27-28
All are welcome to join us for this powerful weekend of renewal, music, sharing and gifted speakers held at St. Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd., Salem with Msgr. Mark Montminy.
Approached with faith and openness, the weekend serves to deepen or establish our relationship with Jesus, while awakening the power of the Holy Spirit given to us through our Baptism. It also provides an experience referred to as Baptism of the Holy Spirit, as in a
personal Pentecost that empowers us to more fully live out our Baptismal call. Weekend cost is $30 ($50 for couples) and includes all meals and materials needed. Finances should not keep anyone from attending. Call about financial help or any other questions.

43rd Annual Scout Retreat!
All Scouts (Boys & Girls) in grades 6-12, and adult leaders, are invited to the 43rd Annual Scout Retreat Fri. Sept. 12 – Sun. Sept. 14, 2025 at Camp Fatima in Gilmanton Iron Works NH.
The cost is $25 per scout and $15 per adult. This Retreat is like a Camporee - it’s very active, involving scouts in a number of fun, interesting, challenging, thought provoking and faith filled activities, including a climbing wall, high ropes, capture the flag, and a dance! Put on by Fr. Ray Ball & the Diocesan Catholic Scouting Committee.
BSA, GSUSA, American Heritage Girls, Venture Crews, Trail Life, Troops of St. George, and Knights of Columbus Squires are all invited.
