The Diocese has published a short leaflet called Five Principles for Voting as People of the Eucharist. This leaflet includes a very brief summary of the four fundamental principles of Catholic Social Teaching which are discussed in Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops booklet that lays out the major themes of Catholic teaching which the Bishops urge us to consider as we make our voting decisions.

The Parish Offices will be closed on Monday, November 11, due to Veterans' Day.  There will be no Daily Mass on Monday, November 11.

We will be gathering on November 16 from 3-5pm to put together the gift bags to give to the homeless this advent.  As of today, we are most in need of medium gift bags, hats and mittens/gloves.

This past week, Father was approached by one of our parishioners who needs a room to rent.  If you would be able to help out or you know of a place where she could look, we would appreciate the assistance.  Please contact Teri if you are able to help.

We will be raffling off three items:  a handmade quilt, a handcrafted stained glass piece of art, and a beautiful painting created by one of our parishioners, Marie Dougherty.

Tickets are $4 each or 3 for $10.  

The drawing will be held at the Christmas Craft Fair on December 7th.

St. John Neumann Day Away (Merrimack, NH) is a social activities outreach ministry that meets regularly on Thursdays.  Several of our volunteers are getting ready to spend their winter in warmer climates until May.  We are seeking caring people to join our all-volunteer staff, to assist in providing a safe, loving and stimulating environment for program participants who are living with the early stages of dementia.  A larger volunteer staff enables a more flexible schedule for those who can assist every other week or once a month. In particular, we are seeking to expand our team of morning volunteers:

As of 10/31/24, we have recycled 892 pounds of plastic!  We are grateful for your help in getting this material out of the landfills.

Only 108 more pounds by the end of the year to go to earn our bench!
