Fall Concert with Paul Koleske
Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30pm
This is no ordinary concert...you'll feel as though you are on a retreat.
Paul is a Catholic inspirational speaker, singer, songwriter, and recording artist. To date, he's conducted retreats and concerts in 119 dioceses across all 50 states (including here at SJN earlier this year!)

Welcome Back to Our Children's Ministry!
Our K-5 program returns this week.
Classes will begin this Sunday following the 10:00 Mass. Note that the first class session on September 17 includes a parent meeting. After the kids are settled in class, our Children's Minister, Claire Bryson, will be meeting with parents in the church. She will very briefly review our program and answer any questions.
We can't wait to see you!
Ministry Fair
The Parish Council will be hosting a Ministry Fair after all Masses the weekend of September 23-24.
Our parish family has many opportunities for everyone to get involved. Help us to continue building our home, our community, and our family.

Come on a Great Adventure and study scripture with us!
Tuesdays 6:00-7:30
Beginning October 3
Open to all adults and youth from first grade up.
Cheri Andersen will lead adults in the Great Adventure Bible Timeline Study and high school students while Claire Bryson leads grades 1-8 in God’s Plan in Scripture.
For adults who may not be comfortable driving at night, we will offer a morning group on Fridays at 10:30am. Please contact Cheri', if you would prefer that option.

Yarn Ministry
The prayer shawl ladies are proud to announce that several new, beautiful hand-knit or crocheted shawls have been distributed to St. Joseph Hospital and the Hospice House in Merrimack this summer!
However, with cooler weather on the way, we have had pleas from both Hospice House and St. Joe's for all of the shawls or lap robes we can provide.
Unfortunately, our number of knitters has declined for various reasons. New members are always welcome! This ministry has provided warmth and love to the Community for almost 25 years!
We are always accepting donations of Yarn. (Pounder skeins for prayer shawls.) Donations may be left in the coatroom, in the bin marked "Yarn".

41st Annual Scout Retreat!
All Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts in grades 6-12, and adult leaders, are invited to the 41st Annual Scout Retreat Fri. Sept. 15 – Sun. Sept. 17, 2023 at Camp Fatima in Gilmanton Iron Works NH. The cost is $20 per scout and $13 per adult.
This Retreat is like a Camporee - it’s very active, involving scouts in a number of fun, interesting, challenging, thought provoking and faith filled activities, including a climbing wall, high ropes, capture the flag, and a dance!
Put on by Fr. Ray Ball & the Diocesan Catholic Scouting Committee. American Heritage Girls, Venture Crews, and Knights of Columbus Squires are also invited to attend.

Annual Fun Fall Fest
The Presentation of Mary Academy (PMA) Parent Group is sponsoring its 26th Annual Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, September 23, 2023. As always, we are inviting all local parishes to participate and enjoy some fall fun with us!
All festivities and parking will be at PMA at 182 Lowell Rd in Hudson, NH.
Enjoy a large selection of inflatables, touch-a-truck, mechanical bull ride, obstacle course, petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin painting, tie-dye station, Sisters Fish pond and so much more! Try your luck at our Super Raffle, theme basket raffles, and Yankee raffle sale. Treat yourself to some great fair food and then cool off with some ice cream or satisfy your sweet tooth with our homemade apple crisp or bake sale!

High Sung Mass
We will be having our first High Sung Mass on Sept. 29th at 6:30pm at St. John the Baptist Parish. (10 School St. Allenstown, NH).
Come and experience the beauty and tradition of the Roman Catholic Mass in the Ordinary Form, completely sung, as we celebrate the Feast of the Archangels. Refreshments will follow.

Music Help Needed
The Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua, NH is looking for an Assistant Organist/Pianist to provide instrumental music for the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturdays and Holy Days, including Christmas.
The Assistant Organist/Pianist plays music selected by the Music Director, who chooses the hymns and schedules cantors. The ideal candidate is someone who can play the organ and/or piano, is familiar with Catholic liturgical rites and practices, can work with the parish staff and other ministers and ministries of the parish, and can support the cantor through their instrumental music.
The Parish of the Resurrection is a vibrant Catholic community with a strong history of prayer, fidelity, and service to those who live and work in western Nashua. Due to the nature of this position, it is required that the incumbent be a practicing Roman Catholic who is registered and active in a parochial or religious community and complies with the Diocese of Manchester Code of Ministerial Conduct.
