A Fond Farewell
Our beloved Director of Music Ministry, Carol Yetto, has decided to retire after 52 years in Music Ministry and 27 years here at St. John Neumann. We will miss her love for music, kindness to all and devotion to the parish. She has been an absolute treasure.
Please join us as we say good-bye after the 10am Mass on Sunday, August 27. All are welcome at her farewell celebration.
Final Friday Fun Nights
7 - 8:30 p.m.
If you’re grades 6 – 12, come join us for some fun the final Friday of each month this summer! (August 25 is our final one!)
We’ll meet in the hall and then go outside for games and end with campfire & s’mores.
Come on a Great Adventure and study scripture with us!

Open to all adults and youth from first grade up.
Cheri Andersen will lead adults in the Great Adventure Bible Timeline Study and high school students while Claire Bryson leads grades 1-8 in God’s Plan in Scripture.

Creation Care Ministry Update
The Biodiversity Crisis Webinar: Seeking a Holistic Response
We are experiencing an interconnected crisis that has reached profound levels. Alongside devastating climate impacts, ecosystems are under unprecedented pressure. God’s creation - the biodiversity of our web of life - is being lost at an astounding rate: in the US, 34% of plants and 40% of animals are at risk of extinction, and 41% of ecosystems are at risk of range-wide collapse. As Pope Francis says, “The great majority become extinct for reasons related to human activity. Because of us, thousands of species will no longer give glory to God by their very existence, nor convey their message to us. We have no such right.” (Laudato Si, 33).
The climate and biodiversity crises reinforce one another, so we need a holistic response in support of an integral ecology where all life can flourish. Join the Laudato Si Movement, St. Kateri Conservation Center, and the Columban Mission for Justice, Peace, and Ecology for a webinar on August 24, from 12-1pm ET, to learn more about this crisis, reflect upon the Gospel call of our faith, and discern our responses in efforts to respond to the cries of “Our Sister, Mother Earth” (LS, 1).
Prayer Line
One of our active ministries at SJN is the prayer line. These individuals pray for the intentions of those on the prayer list. If you would like to either become one of our prayer warriors or would like to add someone to the prayer list, please contact Teri in the office.
We do also have a prayer request box in the gathering areas. Prayer requests are collected weekly from here and passed on to the prayer line.
Coffee & Donuts
We would like to resume Coffee & Donuts in the fall, once monthly. To do this, we would need volunteers to order and pick up the donuts and to set up and break down the hall for our community gathering. If you are interested in being a part of the Coffee & Donut crew, please contact Teri in the office through email or by calling 603-880-4689.
Mahrajan Middle Eastern Food Festival
Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Catholic Church, 140 Mitchell St., Manchester, NH, will be hosting their annual Mahrajan Middle Eastern Food Festival on
Friday August 18, 5-10 PM
Saturday August 19, Noon to 10 PM Sunday August 20 noon to 5 PM
The event will feature a variety of Lebanese foods and pastries, a cash bar, Arabic music by DJ Kibar, gifts, church tours, children's games, and petting zoo.
Free Admission.
Annual Fun Fall Fest
The Presentation of Mary Academy (PMA) Parent Group is sponsoring its 26th Annual Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, September 23, 2023. As always, we are inviting all local parishes to participate and enjoy some fall fun with us!
All festivities and parking will be at PMA at 182 Lowell Rd in Hudson, NH.
Enjoy a large selection of inflatables, touch-a-truck, mechanical bull ride, obstacle course, petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin painting, tie-dye station, Sisters Fish pond and so much more! Try your luck at our Super Raffle, theme basket raffles, and Yankee raffle sale. Treat yourself to some great fair food and then cool off with some ice cream or satisfy your sweet tooth with our homemade apple crisp or bake sale!

Our Lady of Beauraing
The annual celebration of Our Lady of Beauraing, will take place on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, Tuesday, August 22, at 6:30 p.m. in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsboro, MA.
The Pro-Maria Committee invites all the friends of the Queen of the Golden Heart to the recitation of an International Rosary followed by a brief testimony from three individuals of whose lives were touched by Our Lady’s powerful intercession.
Refreshments will be served after in the church hall, where an important announcement will be made concerning the forthcoming book on Our Lady of Beauraing.
